Fashion Month at Dalloway Terrace

October 1, 2021 · In: Birthday, Food, Ramblings, Travels

September has always been a month of celebrating – and this year is no different.

With the pandemic forcing us to spend birthdays trapped indoors eating our entire body weight in cake while slumped on the sofa, I was pleased to finally be able to celebrate my mother’s birthday in the great outdoors this year. When I say outdoors, I, of course, mean at an ornate terrace restaurant within the Bloomsbury Hotel.

But we weren’t the only ones celebrating…

Much like Lady Gaga at the Met Gala, Dalloway Terrace has become famous for its many costume changes. When I last visited a few years ago, it was a tropical paradise. Gone are the days of summer as it has unveiled an equally floral, but rather autumnal look for the new season.

In partnership with Olivia Rubin and Lillet, the restaurant is celebrating Fashion Month by transforming into a bold and beautiful ombré garden escape.

The latest installation comes with a scrumptious lunch and dinner menu that is set to satisfy. Guests can also enjoy delicious Lillet cocktails and an Afternoon Tea that pays homage to Olivia’s exquisite designs. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Caesar salad with added chicken, halloumi and avocado and a glass (or two!) of Whispering Angel.

Staff at Dalloway Terrace are attentive as ever and the experience felt as safe as possible – big shoutout to Madalina who made the birthday celebration extra special for my mother!

With its intimate and refined setting and a delicious menu, Dalloway Terrace is one to revisit again and again. It also makes for great Instagram pics, duh! 😏
